Overall, I like this piece. Her whole posture kinda indicates that something just caught her attention. Eh crap had some critique a minute ago but my mind went blank XP The overall gist of this is great. Well, I do notice some color is leaking out of her nose. Maybe touch that up some. Just select magic wand then paint brush tool to go over that. Her back kinda sinks too low. Maybe bring the cheek out more and round it off andnot make it so angled. I took the liberty of doing some redlining fo ryou

Nice work with the colors- the brightness of the eye and the dullness of everything else draw the viewer's eyeto her eye and her face, which is the desired focal point of the object. One thing I'd change is the log in the background. The colors and the lightness of the background draw the eye to the negative space between the log and the branch and the character, which isn't what you want. They should admire that great expression, not the blank space behind it. I'd probably make the log a bit less orange and a bit more yellow-brown like the background, and I'd move the branch about halfway between the right edge of the pic and where it is now, so the piece will be more balanced, composition wise. Those changes shouldn't be too hard to make, and I think they'de help the composition.
I really like it, by the way. Nice choices of colors, good expression, and the pose really fits well.

To me another distraction is the very light patch of sky just above the ground on the far left. You could tone that down a couple of shades and maintain a variation, but with less attention.
