*sigh* simba redline?

I tried to draw simba, and this came out.... I think somethings off with the nose/muzzle. He is supposed to look like he\'s standing straight forward, but that didnj't work out either. 0.o

Did you start with a basic construction skeleton? That usually helps better align portions of the face and balance the body.

Here's an interesting website with lots of drawing tutorials. And if that doesn't work, just google "cartoon drawing tutorials" and see what you get.

Sure the fella at the top showing head construction isn't Simba (more like his mentally challenged cousin, Dumba), but he still gives you a feel for the basics.

Just a little more Disneyish redline. Though I'll be the first to admit I don't really do the Disney style.

I think you need a little more space between his eyes and his mane, just looks a little flate. And I think his muzzle needs to be less droopy if you get what I mean.

I did a darker line on the mouth because that mouth-muzzle combo can be tricky. It's got a kind of S shape to the whole deal.

If you want to draw Simba probably the best bet is lots of screen cap refs from all different angle so you figure out how his head works.

I don't draw cannon charcaters too often mostly because I have a problem making them look like the characters. -__-

thanks, those are both good for my endless and seemingly un-effective studing.

If you're going for a more on model Simba, I'd go by those ref sheets AmberAlmighty posted. I'll edit this with my own redline when I find the time.

EDIT:
Or maybe not because I've just discovered that I stink at giving helpful redlines. Sorry 'bout that. P:
